Season’s greetings older Americans, the working poor who work 2 jobs and still don’t make enough money to live and depend on food stamps.
Happy yuletide for all of the population who have not seen an increase in the minimum wage and in real terms it’s half what it was before we were promised a trickle down.
The season of cheer has fallen on our active service personnel fighting our wars as they receive a cut in salary by lowering their family’s food stamp value.
Enjoy the holiday’s mothers with children trying to make ends meet while record profits are being made yet your labor is worth less every year, you have to work longer and holiday’s are becoming a thing of the past.
Think of your loved ones all of you long term unemployed over the holiday’s as you starve for the good of austerity, for austerities sake while your congressman receives a $ 143 a day meal allowance right through the the seasons holidays and every other day along with their $174000 a year part time salary paid for barely turning up and on the short times they are at work, plot on ways to punish the poor and middle class.
Republicans have you in their hearts and minds as they force you to go to bed hungry for more days of the month and especially In this time of giving.
They thought of you when they raised their daily meal allowance 2 months ago so they take more in 2 weeks than your family takes in unemployment benefits by a party line vote, to be equal to or greater than what you receive for a whole month and they’ve made it clear that the poverty trap has no exit as they refuse to consider raising the minimum wage.
Yep Republicans are full of seasonal cheer that is best displayed by Charles Dickens in a Christmas Carol.
They are Scrooge without the conscience, without the visit by spirits and offering a lump of coal to the struggling and disadvantaged.
Remember what they thought of you when the next elections roll around and remember they spend more per day for taxpayer funded meals than you’ll get in a month, remember they work 130 odd days a year when you slump into your bed after a 16 hour day and to the troops, remember you are on the frontline while they cut your family income while claiming to support the troops.
And please take note, even in your own districts a large majority are against your lack of humanity and compassion and that includes moderate Republicans.
Reoublicans fighting a war on empathy.
