THE TRUTH

The truth what is it? Well here is a definition for you:
  • The truth in a particular context - a statement that is known to be correct —i.e. in accord with reality, as corroborated by evidence or related experience
  • Supreme reality, holding the ultimate meaning and value of existence
Wow a statement known to be true, how often does that happen? In this society today the truth is far from us ,hey everybody lies or should I say stretches the truth.  Come on we all do it and we do it many times a day. So how do we know what is truth and what is not? In politics there is no absolute, there isn't much truth, in fact in my opinion, to be a politician the truth must be far from your lips. Also our fibbing is inherent In marriages, relationships, in school ,at work,on the T V, news media, just about everywhere, the truth can be hard to find. It's kinda like the F word, now widely accepted as a normal part of our conversation and just about everyone uses it, it doesn't make it right, but heck everyone says it. I can remember years ago that word spoken in public would cause quite a stir and most women never said it. So as our society slowly degrades itself we become morally and culturally bankrupt and we are willing to accept whatever society dictates and that may be a dangerous thing. For example take a look at the Roman empire. It's climb to power and dominance in the know world at that time was astounding. They accomplished many mighty things, had a powerful army and government so why did they fail? Could be due to decadence, lead, monetary trouble, greed, moral decay and military problems or maybe imperial incompetence and chance could be added to the list. But whatever it was they did not last.
It's a slow and steady decline hard to recognize. Heck even those in organized religious circles have trouble telling the truth. So what is my point well maybe I just get tired of all the lies the fakery and manipulation.I want to be able to recognize the truth when i hear it or maybe it's better we don't know.
