Well here we are in the year of our Lord 2010 and for all that it is worth, I don't think we have progressed socially for the better by any means. Now some will argue, hey, these are modern times and we need to be more open and free and O so tolerant.I say bunk to all that! I want you to understand here right off that I am not an ole fuddy duddy or have my head in the sand. I like to think progressively and I'm what you would call A forward thinker, but when it comes to our most precious asset that this country or for that matter any country has and that is our children.We have done a grave injustice to them. How you might ask? Well, in my opinion, we have not demonstrated to them any adult moral responsibility what so ever. When we as parents allow public schools to hand out condoms to grade school children as young as 6 years old and the parents do not have to be notified is horrifying to me. When school boards say they want to punish children for things they may do off school hours, even in their own homes is ludicrous. Where are the parents where? It is time for the parents to raise their children not public schools. Oh how we have sacrificed our children on the alter of self pleasure ,in my opinion. Our society today has over sexualized our children letting them do and watch things far beyond their years, just so we don't have to be bothered. I know there are wonderful parents out there doing a fantastic job,so to them,kudos, keep it up. They say being ole fashioned is in the past, I don't know about that ,the evidence is in our present and in future years to come.
